Frozen Current
Blue Nebula
- 120 x 80 cm
A small, almost unrecognisable subject becomes something much larger when seen this close. Surrounded by deep blues and violet tones, the translucent forms seem to float through darkness while tiny particles scatter around them like distant stars. What I like most about this image is the sense of scale it creates — it could be something microscopic, or a scene somewhere deep in space.

Frozen Current
- 120 x 80 cm
Frozen Current captures a dramatic transformation across the surface of a soap bubble, where vivid electric blues and traces of magenta move through areas stripped almost entirely of colour. The remaining tones appear to flow between pale silver and grey formations, creating the impression of colour breaking through a frozen or mineral-like landscape. The contrast between the saturated blue and the muted surroundings gives the photograph a very different character from the original, drawing attention to shapes and textures that might otherwise disappear among the colours. Some forms resemble ice, flowing water or strange geological structures, leaving the scale and subject deliberately open to interpretation.
